Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv on Friday morning, causing fires and injuries in several districts, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Debris from a missile caused a fire in the Holosiyivskyi district, where cars were set ablaze. Emergency services are already on the scene, and one injured person has been reported.

Additional debris was found in the Holosiyivskyi district at a different address, according to Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. Debris also fell in an unfinished building in the Dniprovskyi district.

In the Solomyanskyi district, a fire was reported in a building due to falling debris. Details are being clarified.

Klitschko reported another injured person in the Holosiivskyi district, who has been hospitalized.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported damage to an office building, road surface, and gas pipeline in the Holosiyivskyi district. Five cars were set on fire.

Klitschko also reported a fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital.

Early reports indicate one person has died in the Holosiyivskyi district, according to Popko.

Overnight on Thursday, Russia attacked Kyiv and the surrounding region with drones. Debris fell in one of the capital's districts, and a fire broke out in the Boryspil district, covering an area of 15,000 square meters.

Additionally, a Russian missile damaged a two-story building in Kryvyi Rih, with five people reported injured.
