Czechia to send almost $33 million worth of military aid to Ukraine
The Czech Republic plans to provide military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 600 million to 700 million Koruna (from $27.9 million to $32.6 million), the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Jana Černochová informed journalists after meeting with the President of the country Petr Pavel, reports ČTK.
Černochová emphasized that military aid in the amount of up to $32.6 million is the so-called unnecessary property from the country's army depots.
She handed over the list to Pavel, and also provided him with the list of aid that the Czech Republic had already sent to Ukraine earlier.
"The aid that we are planning together with the Chief of the General Staff is about 600-700 million kroner. This is not financial aid, it is military materials that are still in our warehouses, which are called unnecessary and which the army can really send to Ukraine without harm for its own defense capability," Černochová said.
The official emphasized that she and the chief of the General Staff always make sure that the materiel sent to Ukraine can be replaced with something.
