Ukrainian Armed Forces deny Russian claims of "destruction" of personnel during attack on train in Kharkiv region
The military has denied the Russian statement about the alleged destruction of a train with personnel of the 17th Special Forces Center of the Military Law Enforcement Service in Kharkiv region. About this said VSP.
"The information disseminated by Russian propaganda resources is not true," the statement said.
The statements about the alleged redeployment of personnel of the 17th Airborne Forces Center to "prevent mass desertion" were also called fiction. The service said that Russian propagandists are "cynically and deliberately" manipulating the facts, trying to present their own strikes on civilian infrastructure as "successful attacks on military targets" and mislead their own and foreign audiences.
At the same time, the Armed Forces reported that Ruslan Nadych, a soldier of the 17th Center of the Armed Forces, was indeed on the attacked train, heading to the area of operations. He has been defending Ukraine from the enemy since 2014 and was awarded the Golden Cross. During the attack on the train in Barvinkove, the man was killed.
"The Russian Federation is once again demonstrating its essence, using the deaths of civilians and attacks on civilian objects as a tool of lies and propaganda. We urge citizens to trust only official sources of information and not to spread enemy fakes," the SMM emphasized.
