On July 5, Ukrainian defense forces struck the Russian airfield of Borisoglebsk in the Voronezh region. This was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The strike was carried out by units of the Special Operations Forces in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces as part of the reduction of the enemy's ability to conduct air strikes. Russian Su-34, Su-35S and Su-30SM aircraft are based at this airfield.

The attack destroyed a warehouse with guided bombs, a trainer aircraft and possibly other aircraft. The results of the attack are being clarified .

"The Defense Forces continue to take all measures to undermine the ability of the Russian occupiers to hit civilian infrastructure and force Russia to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff said .
