A man attacked an employee of a shopping center in Vinnytsia region, he was detained – photos

on January 2, a man attacked a serviceman of the Haisyn district territorial center for recruitment and social support in the territory of the Rayhorod community of Vinnytsia region. The man was detained, reported in the regional prosecutor's office.

It is noted that the incident occurred in the morning. In one of the villages, RTCC workers stopped a 46-year-old local resident on the street to check his military registration documents. He suddenly attacked the serviceman, stabbing him in the leg with an object that looked like an awl. After the attack, he fled the scene.

Law enforcement officers identified the attacker and detained him at his place of residence. According to the prosecutor's office, the weapon was seized from the man.

A pre-trial investigation into the fact of an attempt on the life of a serviceman has been launched. If found guilty, the person faces imprisonment for up to 15 years or life imprisonment.

• This is not the first such case. In particular, in 2025, in the Cherkasy region fixed almost two dozen attacks on employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers, including with weapons.
• Similar cases have been reported in other regions. on December 31, in Kharkiv, a man fired with a traumatic weapon at a TCC serviceman. The wounded man was hospitalized, and the man was detained.
