Abnormal weather conditions have hampered train traffic Ukrzaliznytsia. The company warned about the delay of a number of flights on January 27.

The most difficult situation is in Odesa region. There, solid ice has covered the power line, and special equipment is already working on it.

Train delays are reported on uz-vezemo, currently the largest delays are for flights:

→ 38 Odesa – Uzhhorod (+7:50);
→ 78 Odesa – Kovel (+6:00);
→ 166 Odesa – Chernivtsi (+5:55);
→ 12 Odesa – Lviv (+5:38);
→ 106 Odesa – Kyiv (+5:07).

However, UZ emphasized that all trains continue to run.

At the time of publication of the news, 44 flights were delayed, but in 25 cases the delay ranged from five minutes to an hour.

At least 10 places where fallen trees have damaged power lines and communication and signaling devices have been identified, so backup diesel locomotives have been brought out and traffic on 10 tracks has been switched to telephone communication.

One of the trees also hit a passenger car of the train #127/128 Zaporizhzhia-Lviv, but there were no injuries to passengers and no damage to the car itself.

  • on January 25, it became known that Ukrzaliznytsia had deployed the first invincibility point outside Ukraine – at a railway station in the Polish city of Cholm .
  • On January 26, the Ministry of Development announced that UZ had launched a network of 54 mobile invincibility points that are already operating in 12 regions of Ukraine. The cars were deployed to support people after massive shelling of energy infrastructure.
