US seizes tanker transporting Russian and Venezuelan oil – video
The US military has seized a tanker involved in the transportation of Russian oil. About said pentagon press service and showed the video.
The report says that the US military conducted a naval operation to intercept and board the Aquila II in the area of responsibility of the Indo-Pacific Command.
The Aquila II vessel acted contrary to the US President's Donald Trump quarantine in the Caribbean.
"It tried to escape, and we went after it. The Department of War tracked and hunted this ship from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean," the Pentagon said in a statement.
According to portal According to War & Sanctions, which is run by the Directorate General of Intelligence, Aquila II was transporting Russian and Venezuelan oil. The vessel is under sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and Ukraine.
The tanker was transporting oil products from Russian ports in the Black Sea, Baltic Sea, and the Pacific region. The vessel visited ports in China, Croatia, Oman and India.
