Neither the Caucasus, nor Siberia, nor the Far East will be out of Moscow's control after the death of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. This opinion was expressed in a commentary by LIGA.net said Vadym Denysenko, head of the Business Capital Analytical Center.

In his opinion, it is almost unrealistic to imagine separatism in any of these regions now. First, there is no public demand for such a development.

"Second, there is no demand from the elites of these regions to engage in separatism. The most we can say is that certain regions will want some decentralization. They will seek to get more money and more opportunities to dispose of it. This is the maximum that the Russian elite is currently hoping for," he said.

According to the analysts, no one in Russia wants regional elites to revolt either. According to him, local elites will be watching what happens in the center.

"If the situation in the center is resolved quickly enough, there will be no regional riots. The maximum we can talk about is that the regions may want to get a redistribution of funds. Right now, the regions retain an average of 30-35% of the money they earn. Of course, they would like to return to the situation when they had 50%. But this is the maximum of their desires," he emphasized.
