Poland's new president promises to meet with Zelenskyy
Poland's newly elected President Karol Navrotsky said "with full confidence" that he will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He said this on June 30,, reports Polska Agencja Prasowa.
According to Navrotsky, the meeting will be held "within a certain relevant cycle of meetings.".
"Of course, Ukraine, which is in a state of war, is also our neighbor, and I will visit all our neighbors as president of Poland," he told Polsat News.
Nawrocki was asked if he would like to talk to Zelensky, to which he replied that he would "have to" do so. He emphasized that Poland and Ukraine have many common interests and goals.
"There are also things that are still unresolved and do not meet the needs of Poles or their emotions, such as exhumations in Volyn. Therefore, in the spirit of partnership, we will, of course, be obliged to resolve the issues of our region with President Zelensky as well," Navrotsky said .
