Zelenskyy instructed to prepare proposals for the renewal of the State Bureau of Investigation
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy He instructed to develop proposals for reforming the State Bureau of Investigation. This is stated in his in a post on social media.
"I have instructed to prepare and promptly submit to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposals for the renewal of the State Bureau of Investigation," Zelenskyy wrote.
The head of state expects the presidential bill to be drafted in January and submitted to parliament without delay.
The State Bureau of Investigation was established on November 12, 2015, when the Verkhovna Rada adopted the relevant law, and it actually began its activities on November 27, 2018, when the first investigators took the oath and began their work.
The full structure was approved later, and the State Bureau of Investigation became the central law enforcement agency investigating crimes committed by high-ranking officials, law enforcement officers, and judges.

At a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada's temporary investigative commission, it became known that the bureau verifies information regarding possible violations by their employees and their connection with the individuals involved in the energy sector corruption case.
