Mandatory evacuation has been announced in Chernihiv region. The list includes 14 villages
A mandatory evacuation was announced for 14 border villages in Chernihiv Oblast. It applies to the settlements of Novhorod-Siverska, Semenivska, Snovska, and Horodnyanska communities, reported vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
Villagers should be informed about the gathering points. All necessary services are involved in the process, special evacuation routes and available transportation have been developed.
Resettlement of evacuees is a prerequisite. They are guaranteed temporary accommodation. The evacuation is expected to be completed within 30 days.
According to Chaus, the border area is under daily shelling. Despite the real threat, 300 people still live there. This year, a little over 1,400 residents have already left the border area.
