Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko has instructed to intensify snow removal and treatment of the capital's roads. This is stated in his post on social media.

The mayor of the capital said that the snowfall has been going on since the evening of Wednesday, February 4, so the situation on the roads is difficult.

Kyivavtodor's special equipment has been working on the streets since the night before. However, in the morning, the cleaning was complicated by heavy traffic and continued snowfall.

"I have instructed the road services to intensify the cleaning and treatment of highways and other streets, bridges and overpasses, and entrances to the city," Klitschko emphasized.

The mayor also urged Kyiv residents to be careful on the roads and, if possible, not to travel to the city by car. Klitschko asked not to park vehicles where they interfere with street cleaning.

In an address to institutions and businesses, the mayor called for a conscientious approach to cleaning their territory.
