The former head of the Roscosmos state space corporation, Dmitry Rogozin, proposed to President Vladimir Putin to hit Ukraine with a space missile, according to information obtained by Bild.

The German newspaper has records of Rogozin's conversations with Dmitry Baranov, the general director of the Progress Rocket Space Center, in which the interlocutors discussed the technical details of an attack on a large city in Ukraine with the help of a space launch vehicle that can be launched from Plesetsk Cosmodrome with a "payload" of aerial bombs or warheads.

In the conversation, Baranov notes that the main problem with such a project is that aerial bombs or warheads will overheat during the missile's entry into the atmosphere. In response, Rogozin promises to consult with the designer Yuriy Solomonov.

Rogozin and Baranov also discussed the danger that parts of the missile could fall on the territory of the Russian Federation and that during the fall the missile could deviate from the target by 50-100 km.

In the conversation, the former head of Roscosmos calls Putin "our great and terrible" and says that he will convey this plan to him through the head of the presidency, Anton Vaino.

Blid claims that according to the information available in the editorial office, Putin was informed about Rogozin's project on January 16, but there is no information about the dictator's reaction.
