Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and missiles: emergency blackouts introduced in most regions

On the night of February 7 and early in the morning, Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine, launching attack drones and cruise missiles. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Throughout the night, the military reported numerous groups of UAVs moving from different directions, mostly to the western regions.

Cruise missiles were also launched at night. The UAVs reported the movement of the missiles in the direction of Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Public wrote about a series of explosions in the city.

As of 07:00, the military report about several groups of cruise missiles in the airspace of the western regions, in particular in the direction of settlements in Lviv region.

Head of Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Natalia Zabolotna reportedthe official said that the region is under massive enemy air attack. The official did not disclose any other details.

Also about the attack on the region reported svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional military administration.

National Energy Company Ukrenergo said the Ukrainian government has reported that Russia is launching another massive attack on the power system. As a result, emergency blackouts have been introduced in most regions.

Restoration work will begin as soon as the security situation allows, Ukrenergo added.
