Sybiha: Time to impose a complete ban on entry to the EU for Russians who participated in the war

Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha supported the idea of a complete ban on entry to the European Union for Russian citizens who participated in the war against Ukraine. About this it says in the publication of the Foreign Minister in the social network X.

"It is time to introduce a complete ban on entry to the EU for Russian citizens who participated in the Russian aggression against Ukraine," the head of diplomacy wrote.

Sibiga explained that it was about the long-term national security of European states and the protection of their citizens from Russian bandits.

Secondly, according to the minister, it will set the right price for the wrong choice: every Russian who signs a contract to invade Ukraine will know that he is also signing a lifetime ban on entering Europe.

He added that Estonia has already demonstrated leadership in this matter by implementing appropriate national solutions and proving that the mechanism works.

"Now it is time to extend this to the entire European Union, and I urge my EU colleagues to take this step seriously. This is about strengthening Europe's security," Sybiha summarized.
