Ukraine is preparing a meeting of security advisors to discuss peace

on January 3, Ukraine will host the first meeting of national security advisors dedicated to peace. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a statement on January 1.

Representatives of 15 countries, as well as NATO, the European Commission and the European Council, have confirmed their participation. The American side will join online.

Previously, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov following a telephone conversation with representatives of the United States and Europe, reported to the President on the preparations for this meeting.

US Presidential spokesman Steve Witkoff, who participated in the conversation, also said that the parties discussed "advancing the next steps in the peace process" and "strengthening security guarantees and developing effective deconfliction mechanisms."

"We also spent time on the package of measures for Ukraine's prosperity – how to continue to define, refine and develop these concepts so that Ukraine can be successful, sustainable and truly prosperous after the war is over. Many additional details were discussed and we will continue this important work and coordination in the new year," wrote he is in X.
