On the night of January 24, Russia attacked Kyiv and Kharkiv with drones, causing hits and injuries. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko and the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschkoand the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov.

In Dniprovsky district, garages were damaged by drone strikes and a fire broke out. A fuel truck in a parking lot was also on fire. In Solomyansky district, a six-story office building was hit, and in Holosiivsky district, windows in a private house were damaged.

In Darnytsia district, the attack damaged the building of a private medical facility: windows were damaged, and one person was injured. There was also a hit to an unfinished residential high-rise building, which started a fire on the fifth and sixth floors.

As of 03:00, one person was reported dead and four wounded as a result of the attack. Three of the victims were hospitalized. There are interruptions in heat and water supply on the left bank of the capital.

According to Terekhov, Kharkiv was under massive attack for more than two hours. The enemy hit 25 residential buildings, a dormitory with IDPs, a hospital and a maternity hospital with "shaheds."

Fires broke out in the city, mostly in the Industrial district, Terekhov said. As of 07:35, the number of victims increased to 19 people, including one child.

UPDATED AT 11:55. The number of injured in Kharkiv has increased to 27 people. According to the Ministry of Health, the enemy damaged the maternity ward of one of the city hospitals. At the time of the strike, 29 women and five children were inside, no one was injured.
