The former head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Deyneko, who is suspected of corruption, has been dismissed from military service. This was reported in a commentary by LIGA.net said Andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service.

According to him, Deyneko was dismissed from military service by order of February 2. The dismissal procedure is regulated by the law "On Military Duty and Military Service" and the regulation on military service in the State Border Guard Service.

Demchenko noted that the above documents, among other things, determine the state of health. The law prohibits the disclosure of medical information.

The spokesperson added that medical examinations of SBGS servicemen are conducted by the relevant commissions, which are independent in their decision-making when determining the degree of health of a person. Thus, he denied statement journalist Vitaliy Glagola, who claimed that Deineko underwent a military medical examination at the Main Military Medical Clinical Center of the State Border Guard Service, which until recently was under his command.

"Formally, the final signature is for the Central Laboratory, so everything is documented correctly. But in fact, the primary conclusion was made by a medical institution subordinate to it," Glagola wrote.

Demchenko emphasized that to avoid any speculation on this topic, during his military service while defending the country, Deineko was injured, including a serious mine-blast injury. The injuries required surgeries and left long-term consequences.

In addition, the SBGS spokesperson responded to reports that Deineko allegedly left the territory of Ukraine through a checkpoint in the Zakarpattia region. Demchenko claims that this information is not true.
