Pope urges Israel and Iran not to retaliate after ceasefire
The Vatican wants the parties to the conflict to choose the path of diplomacy and abandon revenge
The Pope Leo XIV called on Iran and Israel to abandon revenge tactics after agreeing to a ceasefire. He said this at a joint audience on June 25., reports Vatican news.

He called on the parties to the conflict to choose the path of diplomacy and follow it.
"Let the voice coming from the Almighty be heard, let the wounds caused by the bloodshed of the last days be healed. Let all logic of superiority and revenge be rejected, let the path of dialogue, diplomacy and peace be chosen with firm determination," Leo XIV said .
