President of the United States Donald Trump admitted that he sees the vice president as a J.D. Vance and secretaries of state Marco Rubio his successors in the 2028 presidential election. At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility of running for a third presidential term. He said this during an interview with the NBC News.

Asked by the interviewer to name a favorite on the Republican side, Trump refused to name one candidate. He called Vance and Rubio "capable people" who are "doing a great job," noting the difference in styles.

"I have two people who are doing a great job. I don't want to argue or – I don't want to use the word 'fight,' it wouldn't be a fight. But listen, J.D. is fantastic, and Marco is fantastic," Trump said.

He added that "one is a little more diplomatic than the other," without specifying who exactly he was talking about.

When asked about a third presidential term, Trump said that it "would be interesting." However, he did not give a definitive answer, emphasizing that "I would do it for one reason only: to make America great again."

REFERENCE
the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1951, clearly limits the time in the White House to two terms. The impetus for its adoption was the death of Franklin Roosevelt, who died shortly after his fourth inauguration. For a century and a half, most presidents have followed George Washington's example by leaving office voluntarily. Those who tried to leave for a third time, such as Ulysses Grant or Theodore Roosevelt, were not supported by American society at the time.
