Weapons worth the first several billion dollars paid for by European allies have already been shipped from the United States to Ukraine. This was stated during a conversation with journalists in Washington reported nATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

He mentioned the consent of the US President Donald Trump to send weapons to Ukraine again, but now they are paid for by the allies.

"We are very actively working on this project. Weapons worth the first few billion dollars have already been sent to Ukraine from the United States at the expense of allies," Rutte said.

He added that the Europeans are committed to guaranteeing security for Ukraine after a long-term ceasefire or peace agreement is reached.

According to Rutte, he will meet with Trump that day to discuss how NATO can help realize his vision of peace, "which we all sincerely wish after his great success in Gaza."
