According to military intelligence, the assassination of Kapustin, a commander of the RDC unit fighting as part of the "Timur Special Forces" of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, was ordered by the Russian special services and $500,000 was allocated for the crime.

The DIU said that as a result of the operation, which lasted more than a month, Kapustin's life was saved, whom the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin he considers a personal enemy, and the circle of people who ordered the crime in the Russian special services and executed it has been established.

"Our side also received the appropriate amount of funds allocated by the Russian special services for the realization of this crime. The RDC commander declared his readiness to continue performing combat and special missions at the head of the unit.
