According to military intelligence, the assassination of Kapustin, a commander of the RDC unit fighting as part of the "Timur Special Forces" of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, was ordered by the Russian special services and $500,000 was allocated for the crime.
The DIU said that as a result of the operation, which lasted more than a month, Kapustin's life was saved, whom the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin he considers a personal enemy, and the circle of people who ordered the crime in the Russian special services and executed it has been established.
"Our side also received the appropriate amount of funds allocated by the Russian special services for the realization of this crime. As of now, the RDC commander is on the territory of Ukraine and is preparing to continue performing his tasks," said the commander of the "Timur Special Forces" in a report to the Chief of the DIU Kirill Budanov.
"Congratulations on your return to life. It's always nice. I am glad that the funds received for the order to liquidate you went to help our struggle," Budanov told Kapustin, who also joined the report via video link.
The RDC commander declared his readiness to continue performing combat and special missions at the head of the unit.
