Ukrainian engineer Oleh Borsuk, who fled to Russia, is suspected of treason. He is currently the chief developer of navigation for Russian cruise and ballistic missiles, reported Security Service of Ukraine.

the 61-year-old native of Cherkasy region headed a laboratory at a local defense plant, but in 2009 he resigned and moved to Russia.

In Moscow, he agreed to become deputy director general of the Navis design bureau, which is one of the leading companies in Russia's military-industrial complex. In this position, he oversees the development of new and modernization of existing GPS/GLONASS navigation systems for cruise and ballistic missiles.

According to law enforcement officers, in 20223 alone, almost 3,200 satellite units were manufactured under Borsuk's leadership, including for Iskander tactical missile systems. This equipment was used for air strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.

These guidance systems are also installed in X-101, X-59 and Kalibr missiles.

Based on the evidence collected, Borsuk was served a notice of suspicion of high treason in absentia. Due to the fact that he is in Russia, comprehensive measures are currently being taken to bring him to justice.
