In Kharkiv, a man fired a traumatic weapon at a serviceman of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Protection. The wounded man was hospitalized, and the man was detained, reported Kharkiv Regional TCC and JV.

Pros data according to the police, the incident occurred on December 31 at around 09:00 in the Nemyshlyansky district of the city, on Kharkivskih Diviziy Street. The military TCCs were conducting public awareness activities. They asked the driver of the car to provide military registration documents for verification, but he refused and fired a traumatic weapon.

The TCC reported that one of the soldiers was wounded and taken to the hospital. However, law enforcement officials claim that he was not injured – the bullet damaged his uniform.

The driver of the car fled, and a special police operation was launched in Kharkiv to detain him. Within hours, the police managed to detain the man. A pre-trial investigation has now been initiated into the hooliganism. The sanction of the article provides for up to seven years in prison.

The issue of serving a notice of suspicion to the detainee is currently being decided.

The TCC emphasized that any manifestations of violence against military personnel or employees of state bodies are unacceptable and entail liability.
