High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas will propose a list of concessions that Europe should demand from Russia as part of the war settlement. The official was quoted by the agency Reuters.

The negotiations to end the war have been led by Ukrainian, American, and Russian officials, with occasional consultations with Europeans. But European officials say there can be no peace agreement without them.

"Everyone at the table, including the Russians and the Americans, needs to understand that we need the consent of the Europeans," Kallas said, adding that Europe also has its own conditions.

"And we should set these conditions not for Ukrainians, who are already under great pressure, but for Russians," she emphasized.

The EU's top diplomat promised that she would soon propose the list to the governments of the bloc's member states.

When asked about what could be included in the list, she mentioned the return of all Ukrainian children abducted during the war and restrictions on the Russian armed forces. She did not disclose any other details.
