During the talks in Abu Dhabi with the participation of Ukraine, Russia, and the United States, the parties reached an agreement on the exchange of prisoners and discussed methods of implementing and monitoring the ceasefire. This is stated in the joint communiqué published by the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov.

The document says that on February 4-5, delegations from the United States, Ukraine, and Russia held the second trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi to advance efforts to end the war.

"The discussions were constructive and focused on ways to create conditions for a lasting peace," the communiqué said.

Delegations reach agreement on prisoner exchange; Ukraine and Russia pledged to release 157 people each. This is the first exchange in the last five months.

Over the course of two days, the delegations held extensive discussions on the remaining unresolved issues, including methods of implementing the ceasefire and monitoring the cessation of hostilities.

The delegations agreed to inform their respective capitals and continue the trilateral talks in the coming weeks. They expressed gratitude to the UAE for organizing the talks.

Ukraine also thanked US President Donald Trump for his leadership in promoting efforts to end the war.
