Ukraine supported the ceasefire proposal, as well as the relevant United Nations resolution calling for a global ceasefire, the Foreign Minister said. He emphasized that Russia should clarify its position.

"We support this call. We are interested in a ceasefire, and if Russia refuses again, it will once again confirm who is standing in the way of peace and who wants to continue this war," Sibiha said.

The United States is trying to reach a settlement and has held several rounds of talks between Ukraine and Russia to end the war.

"Let's stop, and this will definitely open the way for broader peace talks," the head of diplomacy added.
