EU foreign ministers headed by Kallas arrive in Ukraine – photo

On May 9, on the occasion of Europe Day, foreign ministers of the European Union arrived in Ukraine, headed by High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. This was reported by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
He met with EU representatives in Lviv
"Welcome, friends. This is a historic gathering at a historic time. It reflects Ukraine's key role in protecting European freedom and values," said the Foreign Minister.
According to Sibiga, the visit of the European guests began at the Mars Field at Lychakiv Cemetery to honor the memory of fallen Ukrainian heroes.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also met with Kallas to discuss further joint efforts to strengthen Ukraine, increase pressure on Russia, and promote Ukraine's accession to the EU.
"Today we celebrate Europe Day together with Ukraine and its people. Because in a family, you share both joys and difficulties. Together with the foreign ministers, we stand with Ukraine for a lasting peace. For the future we believe in," wrote Kallas on.
The Foreign Minister announced two important events to be held: a meeting of EU foreign ministers and a meeting of the Core Group of the Special Tribunal for the Investigation of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
Among those present was also the new head of the German Foreign Ministry Johannes Wadefuhl. He arrived in Ukraine for the first time.


At the same time, a military parade on Red Square in Russia has ended, with 29 foreign leaders attending. In particular, Chinese President Xi Jinping , Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic , and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico .

- On May 6, the Foreign Ministry spoke about participation of foreign troops in the parade in Moscow and said it was an outrage against memory and support for aggression.
- On May 9, it was reported that Vucic showed a photo with Fico against the backdrop of the Kremlin and said that their peoples are brothers forever. Head of European Diplomacy Kallas made a statement.
