The U.S. Department of Defense has officially announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $325 million, the Pentagon press service reported.

Washington claims that the new weapons will be transferred from the Pentagon's stockpiles — that is, they will arrive in Ukraine as soon as possible.

It is noted that the package will provide the reinforcement needed on the battlefield for Ukrainian soldiers.

The list includes:

— additional ammunition for HIMARS rocket systems;

— 155-mm and 105-mm artillery rounds;

— Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles;

— AT-4 anti-armor weapon systems;

— Anti-tank mines;

— demolition munitions for obstacle clearing;

— more than 9 million rounds for small arms;

— four logistics support vehicles;

— precision aerial munitions;

— testing and diagnostic equipment to support vehicle maintenance and repair;

— equipment for the protection of ports and harbors;

— spare parts and other field equipment.

The Biden administration emphasized that the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with weapons, together with its allies, to meet its needs on the battlefield and ensure security in the long term.

Earlier today, Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov officially confirmed the arrival of the Patriot system to Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk said that Patriot systems arrived in Ukraine from three countries.

The adviser to the Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Kopytko, said that the Patriot will help better cover the troops at the front.
