All Leopard 2 tanks promised by Germany already in Ukraine — Spiegel

18 Leopard 2 tanks from Germany have already arrived in Ukraine, the German publication Spiegel reported, citing its sources.

"Approximately two months after the German government decided to supply heavy battle tanks, the time has come: according to information from Spiegel, Leopard 2 tanks from Germany have been transferred to Ukraine," the article says.

According to the media, the tanks left Germany at the end of last week and have already been handed over at the border with Ukraine. About 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles have also arrived in the combat zone, the journalists note.

At the end of January, Germany announced that it would deliver 14 Leopard 2s to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius later decided to increase the total from 14 to 18 tanks.
