Zelenskyy: New negotiations may be in America

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that new talks could take place in the United States. He said this in a statement in an evening address after the meetings between Ukraine, Russia and the United States in the United Arab Emirates on February 4 and 5.
Zelenskyy said that he had received a report from the Ukrainian delegation on the results of the talks in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. However, he added that he expects the team to return to Kyiv for a full report, as "many aspects cannot be discussed over the phone."
"From what we can already tell, the next meetings are planned in the near future. Probably in America," the president noted.
These may be the first talks in this format in the United States. Previous talks between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States also took place in Abu Dhabi at the end of January.
The head of state added that Ukraine is ready for all formats of work that can really bring peace closer and "make it reliable, lasting and depriving Russia of its appetite to fight further."
"It is important that this war ends so that Russia does not have a reward for its aggression. This is one of the key principles that return and guarantee true security. I thank all the partners who support us in this," Zelenskyy emphasized.
Earlier, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and head of the Ukrainian delegation Rustem Umerov reported that the parties discussed the remaining unresolved issues in the UAE. In particular, they discussed methods of implementing and monitoring the ceasefire.
- In particular, as a result of new meetings in Abu Dhabi, happened the first in more than four months prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.
Also on February 5, Washington and Moscow agreed to resume high-level dialog between the military.
