The Western artillery sent to Ukraine will reshape the war with Russia, Washington Post reports, citing US officials and war analysts.

Russian and Ukrainian troops currently trade fire using similar artillery systems, some dating back to the Soviet era. The introduction of diverse Western artillery will speed up both sides’ tactical shift to the so-called counter-battery war, in which military forces identify the enemy artillery, pinpoint its location, and then attack.
