Russians announce missile strikes on Belgorod and Bryansk region – video
In the evening of February 7, local Russian authorities report missile attacks on Belgorod and Bryansk region, as well as about problems with heat and electricity.
The mayor of Belgorod, Valentin Demidov, wrote about missile attacks on the city and the activation of the air defense system. He claims that infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Among other things, the Russian official announced the connection of backup power sources to homes in some neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, the regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on the blows to the energy infrastructure, writing that the work to restore heating in the city is increasing and two heating stations are being opened.
"In Belgorod, the Luch thermal power plant has become sad," said andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council (the strikes on the same CHP plant were reported earlier, in particular, january 8. – Ed.)

Meanwhile, Bryansk Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported an alleged strike on the region with Neptune missiles and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
According to the official, heat and electricity supply has been disrupted in seven municipalities.
The Ukrainian side did not comment on these statements by the occupiers.
- The day before, on February 6, in Belgorod due to night shelling, there were interruptions in electricity, heating and water supply.
- The next day, the occupiers launched another massive attack on Ukraine, using 408 drones and 39 missiles. To the defenders succeeded to counteract 382 and 24, respectively.
- Among the targets of the occupiers was the infrastructure on which the functioning of nuclear power plants depends – substations and power lines. As a result of the attacks, Ukrainian nuclear power plants reduced generation, at the same time, one of them was automatically turned off. Also, the occupiers attacked Burshtyn and Dobrotvir TPPs.
- The Ministry of Energy reported that the following days will be difficult in terms of electricity, Kyiv has power for a limited time only.
