NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that "countries that agree" will deploy their troops to Ukraine immediately after a peace agreement is signed. He said this, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada on February 3.

"As soon as a peace agreement is reached, there will be armed forces, planes in the air and support at sea – from those who have agreed to do so. Other NATO Allies will help in other ways," Rutte said .

He emphasized that reaching an agreement to end the Russian-Ukrainian war would require "difficult decisions." Therefore, Ukraine must know that the peace will be long-lasting and the signed documents will be effective, not "another Minsk" or "second Budapest Memorandum.".
