This was reported by the press service of the National Security and Defense Council. Subsequently, the secretary of the department Rustem Umerov provided details of the meetings.

"As of today [February 4], the negotiations are over," the ministry said at 16:50, announcing that there would be a communication from the NSDC secretary and the head of the delegation Umerov later.

When asked if the talks would continue the next day, the Council replied "it is planned to do so."

No other details are available yet.

About the start of a new stage of negotiations in Abu Dhabi, Umerov reported at 11:57: the process started in a trilateral format, then work in groups was planned, and after that – "repeated joint synchronization of positions".

"We are working within the framework of clear presidential directives Volodymyr Zelenskyy to achieve a decent and lasting peace. We inform the head of state about the progress of each stage of the negotiations," the NSDC secretary said.

A new round of meetings was scheduled for February 4 and 5.

UPDATE at 18:25. Umerov reported that during the talks "the work was meaningful and productive, with a focus on concrete steps and practical solutions." He did not disclose specifics of the discussions.

The NSDC secretary also confirmed that after the trilateral meeting, the process continued in a group format.

The official added that the Ukrainian delegation is preparing a report for the president.

On the eve of the first day of talks, February 3, the Russian occupiers launched a new massive attack on Ukrainian energy, using a record number of ballistic missiles – and Zelenskyy said that the work of the Kyiv delegation will be adjusted appropriately.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Olga Stefanishyna said that the diplomatic mission provided the US State Department with detailed data on all Russian shelling that took place during the so-called energy truce. The diplomat believes that this will also have an impact on the negotiations.

  • Between the first and second rounds of negotiations, US secretary of state Rubio stated that the latter territories remain an unresolved issue. Meanwhile, Russia continues to insist on the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Ukrainian Donbas.
