President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that certain adjustments will be made to the work of the Ukrainian negotiation team after Russia's massive attack on the energy sector on the night of February 3. He said this after a conference call.

"Each such attack by Russia confirms that the attitude in Moscow has not changed: they are still counting on war and the destruction of Ukraine and do not take diplomacy seriously. The work of our negotiating team will be adjusted accordingly," he said .

The President emphasized that it was a targeted strike against the energy sector, and Russia used a record number of ballistic missiles .

"In fact, the Russian army took advantage of the American proposal to put the strikes on short-term pause not to support diplomacy, but to simply accumulate missiles and wait for the coldest days of the year, when temperatures in a large part of Ukraine are -20 Celsius and below," he said.

In this strike alone, there were 32 ballistic missiles, 11 other types of missiles that enter the target on a ballistic trajectory, 28 cruise missiles and 450 attack drones, most of which are "shahids".

Most of them have been shot down, but there are hits at energy facilities in several regions. Most of the damage was done in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kyiv and Kyiv region, Vinnytsia and Odesa regions, and Zaporizhzhia.

Zelenskyy instructed the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the government as a whole to provide equipment from the reserves, as well as to urgently contact partners for additional support packages.

the Ministry of Defense and the Air Force Commander also received "separate tasks" Anatoliy Kryvonozhko .

  • A new round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia was scheduled for February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi.
