The former head of the SBGS, Deineka, was granted bail of UAH 10 million. Another official – UAH 2 million
High Anti-Corruption Court sets bail in the amount of UAH 2-10 million for former head of the State Border Guard Service Sergey Deineko and another former official. About said Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
The investigating judge imposed a preventive measure on former SBGS officials suspected of systematically receiving undue benefits for facilitating unimpeded border crossings. The court partially granted the motion of NABU detectives and granted bail to Deyneko in the amount of UAH 10 million, and to the former head of the State Border Guard Service checkpoint department – UAH 2 million.
They were both subjected to the relevant procedural obligations: to appear before the investigator or court at the first request, not to leave Ukraine without the permission of law enforcement officers and to surrender their passports, to notify of changes in their place of residence and work, and to refrain from communicating with other suspects or other persons involved in this criminal proceeding.
The term of office is until March 30, 2026.
