On the night of February 1, Belarus launched balloons into Poland to test the country's air defense system. About stated Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.

The military said that the weather balloon attack was another attempt to conduct reconnaissance and test how air defense would detect air objects. Radar systems detected the balloons in the sky and monitored their movement. They did not pose a threat to the safety of Polish airspace.

"The Polish Armed Forces remain ready to perform tasks related to ensuring the security of Polish airspace," the Operational Command said.

Similar attacks occur for the second night in a row. There were also fixed balloon flights on January 28, which resulted in temporary restrictions on the use of part of the airspace over the Podlaskie Voivodeship for civilian traffic.
