Britain allocates more than $700 million to strengthen Ukrainian air defense

The United Kingdom has announced the allocation of more than 500 million pounds for air defense systems and missiles for Ukraine. This was reported by the Sky News.
Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom John Healy said that London would contribute 150 million pounds (equivalent to $200 million) to the PURL program for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine for the first time. This should ensure that Kyiv receives anti-aircraft missiles as soon as possible.
In addition, as part of the £390 million (about $530 million) deal, Ukraine will receive another 1,000 lightweight, multi-purpose missiles manufactured in Belfast.
The British Defense Secretary emphasized that as we approach the fifth year of Russia's full-scale invasion, London and its allies are more determined than ever to support Ukraine.
On Thursday, February 12, in Brussels, Gili takes part in a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in the Ramstein format. He, along with German Defense Minister By Boris Pistorius chair the meeting.
