Kyiv’s international partners do not know "specific plans" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the counteroffensive, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said in an interview with the Azerbaijani news outlet Report.

The official emphasized that Ukraine "defends its independence and realizes its responsibility for liberating its territories from occupation" and cooperates with allies who provide "great assistance."

"When we talk about specific plans, we mean that they are classified, secret, and if someone thinks that plans with the stamp "Top Secret" are disclosed to anyone, they are mistaken. There is no such thing anywhere in the world. General issues – yes, but specific plans – no, they must remain confidential," Danilov explained.

He also added that the Armed Forces have several options, and which one will be used for a particular operation depends on many factors.

"If someone says that they know the location of the operation, they are lying, because it will be known only after confirmation by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief (President Volodymyr Zelenskyy – ed.)," the NSDC Secretary concluded.

On Tuesday, Danilov said that the final plans for the Armed Forces' counteroffensive, including the timing and direction of troop movements, had not yet been approved by President Zelenskyy.

On the same day, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Ukraine had the resources necessary to recapture its territories in a future counteroffensive.
