A former member of parliament from the banned Communist Party of Ukraine, who distributed propaganda leaflets in support of the Russian Federation in Kharkiv Oblast, has been charged, the Prosecutor General's Office reported.

LIGA.net's interlocutors in the law enforcement agencies said that the man in question is the MP of the 3rd convocation Pavlo Tyshchenko, who now heads the pro-Russian organization Trudova Kharkivshchyna.

According to the investigation, after the start of the full-scale invasion, the former parliamentarian supported the invaders and helped them in the war against Ukraine.

He produced "fliers" and printed them at home on his own printer. After that, he distributed them among the residents of the Kharkiv district and tried to convince people of the "correctness" of the Kremlin's actions.

The PGO noted that the former Ukrainian MP was accused of manufacturing and distributing materials justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Now Tyshchenko faces restriction or deprivation of liberty for a term of up to five years, with or without confiscation of property.

On May 1, 2018, Tyshchenko was doused with kefir during a rally he organized in Kharkiv.

On May 7, a group of unknown persons broke into the premises of the pro-Russian organization Trudova Kharkivshchyna and "scattered things."
