Italy to present reconstruction plan for Ukraine late in April

Italy will present its reconstruction plan for Ukraine on 26 April as part of a dedicated international conference, its foreign minister Antonio Tajain revealed on Tuesday.

Following a phone call with Ukraine’s foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba, Mr Tajani posted on Twitter that he "confirmed our [Italy's] support for Ukraine."

"On 26 April we will present a plan for Ukraine reconstruction. We will be protagonists with our best companies," he added.

In addition, Italy’s foreign minister said that he was in touch with Rafael Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

"It is crucial to protect the Zaporizhzhia power plant."
