Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities are working on extradition of suspects operation Midas regarding large-scale corruption in the energy sector. The request for extradition of the suspects will be sent after the relevant procedures, and then we will cooperate, in particular, with Israel. About reported director of National Anti-Corruption Bureau Semen Kryvonos during a public report on the work of his department and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

"The extradition procedure is indeed ongoing. It's a long process," the official said.

According to Kryvonos, law enforcement officers will send an extradition request when they have completed all the relevant measures and will work with Israel and other countries to extradite the defendants in this case.

The NABU head added that the anti-corruption agency is currently actively cooperating with about 10 jurisdictions, including the European Union, to obtain information on financial transactions, accounts and property upon requests for international legal assistance.

"I'm not announcing any suspicions, but we [NABU and SAPO] are waiting for new details that we will communicate to Ukrainian society. We are just trying to communicate carefully at this stage. This is due to certain issues related to collecting evidence, conducting relevant examinations, receiving responses from international jurisdictions, and communicating with international partners," the official explained.

He emphasized that "this is definitely not the end of the story," adding that the investigation is ongoing and that there will be additional details that law enforcement will announce "at the moment when it becomes procedurally possible."

Both of them left Ukraine even before the announcement of suspicions.
