The United States has announced the allocation of a new package of military aid to Ukraine for $300 million, reported the Pentagon.

Washington notes that this is already the 37th military aid package provided to Ukraine. Earlier, the spokesperson of the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, stated that the aid is allocated so that Ukraine can effectively defend itself and conduct a counteroffensive.

The new package will include:

— additional ammunition for HIMARS rocket systems;

— 155-mm howitzers;

— 155-mm artillery rounds;

— 120-mm, 81-mm and 60-mm mortar rounds;

— Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles;

— AT-4 and Karl Gustaf anti-tank weapon systems;

— Hydra-70 aircraft rockets;

— small arms and ammunition for them;

— demolition munitions for overcoming obstacles;

— trucks and trailers for transporting heavy equipment;

— testing and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair of vehicles;

— spare parts and other field equipment.

REFERENCE. Hydra-70 is a short-range (4-5 km) unguided rocket designed to arm helicopters, but later also received ground-based launch platforms. The Ukrainian Armed Forces use the APKWS – a high-precision laser-guided version of this rocket to attack ground and air targets of Russian invaders.
