The United States offers Ukraine and Russia negotiators to meet in Miami

The United States has proposed holding another round of trilateral talks to resolve Russia's war against Ukraine on its territory. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a meeting with journalists, the correspondent reports LIGA.net.

"America has offered for the first time two negotiating groups – Ukraine and Russia – to meet in the United States, probably in Miami, in a week. We have confirmed our participation," the Head of State said.

He also said that he spoke on the phone with the Ukrainian delegation after all the meetings. On the evening of February 6, the officials were supposed to be in Ukraine. Reports from the negotiating team are scheduled for February 7.

  • During the talks in Abu Dhabi on February 4-5 with the participation of Ukraine, Russia and the United States the parties reached an agreement on the exchange of prisoners, and methods of implementing and monitoring the ceasefire were also discussed.
  • On February 5, the President stated that new negotiations can be held in America.
