Ukrainian crew of Mi-24 helicopter died in battle

The crew of a Mi-24 helicopter died in the Russian war against Ukraine, said 11th separate brigade of army aviation "Kherson".

"Our brothers, the crew of a Mi-24 helicopter, did not return from a combat mission. Only the best sons of Ukraine are capable of defending their homeland so heroically and fighting desperately in the sky against the occupier," the post reads.

In the publication, the brigade states that the fallen defenders were officers.

The unit does not provide any other details.

The Mi-24 is a Soviet attack and transport helicopter designed to support ground troops. Its unofficial name is "Crocodile." As of 2024, there were 45 such helicopters in Ukraine.
