The resolution supporting Ukraine's membership in NATO was adopted by the Estonian Parliament, the Riigikogu. The document urges the formulation of specific steps and invitations for membership in the Alliance at the upcoming summit in Vilnius, the message on the website of the legislature says.

"Estonia, together with other Baltic States, has always expressed its support to Ukraine in joining NATO and considers it necessary to plan concrete steps for Ukraine’s accession to the organisation at NATO Summit in Vilnius on July 11-12," the statement said.

The Estonian Parliament considers it necessary to formulate "specific and unambiguous steps" for the rapid integration of Ukraine with the Alliance at the July summit.

The statement also talks about giving Ukraine an invitation to join NATO at the summit.

"Ukraine’s victory over the Russian Federation, which is waging a war of aggression, and Ukraine’s subsequent accession to NATO constitute the only way to ensure the rules-based world order, lasting peace and the security of the democratic countries of Europe," the resolution reads.

The Riigikogu advocated a "decisive strengthening" of the security architecture of the Euro-Atlantic region and in support of the Ukrainian people who are fighting for freedom.

On April 27, the Prime Minister of Estonia stated that Ukraine will not join NATO during the war, because the Alliance does not want to enter the war.

On May 8, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia said that Ukraine should receive a concrete path for joining NATO.

On May 12, the Polish Senate adopted a resolution on Ukraine's accession to NATO, branding it "the strongest army on the continent."
