An explosion rang out in the "Brothers" barbershop in temporarily occupied Luhansk around 2 p.m. on Monday. Russian sources write that Kornet "is in intensive care in a serious condition" at the Luhansk Oblast Clinical Hospital.
REFERENCE. Until 2014, Kornet worked as a criminal investigation investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, then joined the separatists when protests started in the east of Ukraine with the support of Russia. In August 2014, Russian propagandists called him the "minister of internal affairs" of the self-proclaimed "people's republic of Luhansk".
In 2017, the "head" of the "LPR" at that time, Igor Plotnitsky, tried to get rid of Kornet and dismissed him. Kornet did not agree with the dismissal, brought security forces into the center of Luhansk, and arrested Plotnitsky.
In the summer of 2022, Kornet appeared on the front lines, in particular, commanding units in Kharkiv Oblast, which at that time was captured by the Russian forces.

Pro-Kremlin mass media announced a "terrorist attack" and "assassination".
The self-styled "leader" of the "LPR" Leonid Pasechnik confirmed the wounding of Kornet. According to him, seven people were injured. Four of them are in serious condition, including Kornet.
