Zelenskyy awards Lyashko with the Order of merit

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the former MP, head of the Radical Party, and now the commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade, Oleh Lyashko. The decree on awarding military and other defenders was published on the leader's website.

"I thanked the President for the award, which is not only mine, but also of the entire battalion, which I am honored to lead," he said wrote Lyashko on Facebook.

He also showed a photo of the Order of merit III class, which was presented to him by the President:

According to the decree, Lyashko currently holds the rank of senior lieutenant.

The news of Lyashko's award first became known from a video from the president's Office on the "Army of Drones – 2025" event.

The commander also posted a photo of the award from the minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov, which was issued to the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd Brigade under his command. Judging by the photo from the event, this unit was ranked fifth among those who inflicted the most damage on the occupiers' personnel.

  • Lyashko was appointed a commander in the fall of 2024. In the Land Forces noted that this was, in part, due to his success in the service.
