Zelenskyy: In February, we will produce drones in Germany, there will be 10 export centers in Europe

In 2026, Ukraine will start manufacturing drones in Germany, and arms export offices will operate in Europe. This was announced during a speech at the National University of Kyiv Aviation Institute by president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the head of state, this year there will be 10 export centers, including Germany, the Baltic States, and Northern Europe.
"In mid-February, we will see the production of our drones in Germany. I will accept the first drone. This is a line that works. In Britain, the production lines work. These are all our Ukrainian technologies," the president said.
Zelenskyy explained that drones are primarily needed for the Ukrainian military, but there is a request from the Ministry of Defense and the corresponding amount of weapons needed: "As for everything else, please, you can export, make money, share with partners, and develop this area."
The head of state called it encouraging that future protection systems in Europe (e.g, the "Drone Wall") will be based mostly on Ukrainian technologies and specialists.
"We are simply at war, and not all companies feel such a space of freedom that they can enter all other markets," the president added.
- In September 2025, Zelenskyy explained that Ukraine would sell its weapons to partners who help it in a controlled manner, and in the following ways cover the deficit of funds for arms production.
- In October, the president announced that Ukraine plans to start exporting arms starting next month.
